#THS2022 Abstracts Published in BMC Proceedings Journal

The abstracts presented during the 9th Tanzania Health Summit (THS2022) have been published in the BMC Proceedings, paving new paths for wider dissemination, igniting discussions and a collective understanding of Tanzania’s major healthcare challenges and solutions
The abstracts went live on Tuesday 22nd August 2023 in the BMC, a journal that is part of Springer Nature which gives authors the opportunity to make more connections with research communities across the world.
“As we journey towards the 10th Summit, the bar has been set higher,’’ said the President of THS, Dr. Omary Chillo, explaining what it means for THS presenters to have their abstracts published in the renowned journal.
“The publication of these abstracts serves as an inspiration for the transformative power of collaboration and knowledge dissemination. The voice of these presenters matters, and it resonates far beyond the confines of the Summit’s walls” said Dr Chillo shortly after the abstracts were confirmed published.
In October this year, about 250 abstracts are expected to be presented during the 10th anniversary of Tanzania Health Summit to be marked at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre in Dar es-Salaam, with 45 leading health organisations—local and international—already confirmed to attend the event.
“We anticipate even more thought-provoking insights, solutions, and breakthroughs that will shape the future of healthcare in our Tanzania as we are focusing on strengthening health care systems,” said Mr. Anodi Kaihula, THS Conference Manager.
“As we convene once again, we’re excited to witness the impact that this expertise from scientists will continue to make,” said Kaihula, adding that the momentum from this achievement will contribute to another chapter of impactful dialogue, innovative ideas, and collaborative solutions.
