Q 1: When will the summit take place this year?
The 12th Tanzania Health Summit will take place from October 1-3, 2025 at JINCC in Dar Es Salaam.
Q 2: Why should I register early for the summit?
Early registration secures your spot at the summit, provides access to early-bird discounts, and ensures you receive timely updates and information.
Q 3: Can you provide any updates on registration deadlines or fees for this year?

Q 4: Are there opportunities for networking during the summit? If so, what will those look like?
Yes, networking is a vital component of the summit. Opportunities will include dedicated networking sessions, breaks between presentations, social events, and interactions during exhibition viewings. Additionally, you can connect with fellow attendees during program-specific events such as the Health Workers Awards, the Youth Capacity Building (YOCAB) Program activities, and the CHIA Innovation Awards We will also facilitate networking through our event app.
Q 5: Why should I attend the summit?
The summit offers a unique opportunity to learn about the latest advancements in healthcare, network with leading professionals, and contribute to discussions on critical health issues, particularly in the context of data utilization and technology and programs through which you can benefit from:
- Research Presentations: Over 100 research and program presentations will be made in the context of the theme
- The Largest Medical Expo in Tanzania: This is a national and international B2B and consumer medical trade fair which will run in parallel with THS2025. More than 100 exhibitors expected to be present. Meet new customers, patients, distributors and market products and services to more than 5,000 visitors. From 1 to 3 October.
- Diverse parallel forums: Get access to health forums and symposiums from various organizations. A number of local and international institutions have already confirmed to lead healthcare forums that will showcase what they do in Tanzania’s healthcare system.
- Exciting Awards: More than 1,000 healthcare workers have been nominated for seven healthcare recognition awards. The winner will be recognized on all THS platforms, receive a trophy & cash prize $500 each, travel & accommodation (winner outside Dar) and complimentary conference registration. But also, the CHIA Awards; a TSH 5 million prize up for grabs by innovators (aged 35 and below) for their potentially ground-breaking health projects. - Workshops, receptions and fun: There will be a Youth Capacity Building (YOCAB) Workshop which is designed to prepare youth for practical learning on Leadership, Communication Skills, and Career Path Development. Then, an exciting cocktail event in the evening on Day 1.
Q 6: What’s the theme for this year’s summit and why does it matter?
The theme is “Harnessing Data Utilization and Technologies to Accelerate Universal Health Coverage.” This theme is crucial as it addresses the growing importance of digital health solutions, artificial intelligence, and data-driven decision-making in improving healthcare delivery and achieving universal health coverage.
Q 7: If I am a healthcare worker in the peripheral areas of Tanzania. How can I benefit from the summit?
The summit will feature sessions on digital health solutions and AI-driven innovations that are particularly relevant to low-resource settings. You will gain insights into how technology can improve access, efficiency, and quality of care in your community.

We are located at Plot No 1068 Buzwagi St, Masaki, Dar es salaam and we work Monday – Friday 8AM to 5PM. On Saturdays – Sundays our offices are closed.
Q 9: I would like to register and attend the summit but I don’t know the duration of the event. Will I be eligible to attend for the whole duration of the summit? And will I have access to all sessions if I register?
Yes, registration grants you access to all sessions during the entire duration of the summit.
Q 10: In 2024 I was a participant in Youth Capacity Building workshop (YOCAB). Am I eligible to attend again this year (2025)?
YOCAB alumni are encouraged to attend the summit but not the same workshop. Please check the YOCAB program guidelines for specific eligibility criteria.
Q 11: After I have registered for the summit. What next?
You will receive a confirmation email with further details about the summit, including access to the event platform and program updates.
Q 12: If I have applied for the CHIA Innovation Awards, do I still need to register for the summit?
Applying for the CHIA Innovation Awards does not automatically register you for the summit. However, if you wish to attend and take full advantage of the opportunities at #THS2025, it is recommended that you register separately.
Q 1: Who qualifies to submit an abstract for the Tanzania Health Summit?
Researchers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and students engaged in health-related research and innovation are encouraged to submit abstracts.

Q 2: What topics should I consider when writing my abstract?
Abstracts related to the summit theme, “Harnessing Data Utilization and Technologies to Accelerate Universal Health Coverage,” are particularly encouraged. This includes, but is not limited to, topics related to artificial intelligence in healthcare, digital health infrastructure, data analytics, telemedicine, and health information systems.
Q 3: Is there a limited number of words for the abstract?
Yes, please refer to the abstract submission guidelines for the specific word count limit.
Q 4: Where can I get the guidelines for submitting my abstract?

Q 5: What can contribute to my abstract rejection?
Abstracts may be rejected due to non-compliance with guidelines, lack of relevance to the summit theme, insufficient scientific rigor, or poor presentation.
Q 6: When is the deadline for abstract submission?
The deadline is on 1st June 2025. Remember, that abstract deadlines are strictly observed. Only abstracts received by the published deadline can be guaranteed acceptance. Abstracts submitted after the abstract deadline—post deadline abstracts—will not be accepted.
Q 7: Who will review my abstract?
Abstracts will be reviewed by a panel of International experts in the relevant fields.
Q 8: What next after my abstract has been reviewed?
You will receive an email notification regarding the status of your abstract (accepted or rejected).
Q 9: Can I withdraw my abstract after submission?
Only the first author or submitter may withdrawal an abstract from the program. Requests for withdrawals must come to the THS 2025 in writing, by email to abstract@ths.or.tz.
Q 10: Must I register for the summit if I have submitted my abstract?
Yes, We encourage to register, if your abstract is accepted, you must register for the summit to present your work. In cases where your abstract is rejected, you still stand a chance to attend and benefit from the amazing experience brought to you by the summit. Note also that early registration helps you to save nearly 50% of the cost.
Q 11: I submitted my abstract and a pop up sms came through saying I would get an email notification but until now I haven’t received the email notification. What do I do?
