We Take a journey with Dr. Genoveva Ndunguru as she tells us her story from hearing about THS and it YOCAB platform, to her participation and benefits and achievements after YOCAB. This is her story…
Dr. Genoveva Ndunguru, a medical professional and passionate public health advocate, knows the power of connection. For her, joining the Youth Capacity Building (YOCAB) program under the Tanzania Health Summit was a pivotal moment. “It wasn’t just about learning,” she explains, “it was about meeting the right people.” YOCAB provided her with a network of mentors who challenged and guided her, peers who shared her vision, and industry leaders who broadened her understanding of the healthcare landscape.
Through YOCAB, Genoveva honed essential skills in leadership, communication, personal branding, strategic thinking, and problem-solving. But the true value, she emphasizes, lay in the relationships she forged. These connections became the driving force behind her next big step: the launch of “Jenga Wellness Hub.” This platform empowers young people to take ownership of their health, providing them with accurate information and the tools to make informed decisions.
Genoveva’s story is a testament to the transformative power of mentorship and networking. “YOCAB has played a vital role in shaping my path,” she reflects. She’s eager to continue her journey with the program’s support. Her message to other young female leaders is clear: “Seek out learning opportunities, build meaningful connections, and take action. The right people and experiences can open doors you never imagined!”
