Abstract Submission Guidelines

Call For Abstract

We encourage work that introduces new ideas and concepts, research and its implementation and its usefulness to the society. Please read the following guidelines carefully before submitting your abstract:
  • Abstracts can only be submitted online via our website (abstract submission); submissions by email or any other means will not be considered.
  • All abstracts must be written in English.
  • It is the author’s responsibility to submit a correct abstract. Any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific fact in the abstract text will be reproduced as typed by the author. Abstract titles will be subject to a spell check if the abstract is selected for presentation.

SCIENTIFIC TRACKS

The 11th Tanzania Health Summit (THS) 2024 welcomes the submission of abstracts for original contribution in the following scientific tracks:

SUBMITTING YOUR Abstract

THS 2024 reserves the right to reject or alter abstracts based on, but not limited to, the following criteria:
  • Abstracts do not comply with style guidelines, including excessive length (contributed abstract body text is limited to approximately 300 words)
  • Abstracts contain inappropriate content, e.g. graph, pictures, etc.
  • Abstracts fall outside of the topical scope of the meeting

Abstract DEADLINE

Abstract deadlines are strictly observed. Only abstracts received by the published deadline (1st June 2024) are guaranteed acceptance into the regular program.
Abstracts submitted after the abstract deadline—post deadline abstracts—will not be accepted.

SESSION PRESENTATIONS

Oral presentations of contributed abstracts are usually eight minutes for presentation and two minutes for questions.

e-POSTER SESSIONS

Authors of abstracts assigned to poster sessions should make sure that the title and content of their posters correspond to the title and content of the abstract printed in the program book and the online program.

• ePoster will be designed in a power point format.

• You will be given a template upon confirmation of your abstract for your e-poster designing.

WITHDRAWING ABSTRACT

Only the first author or submitter may withdrawal an abstract from the program. Requests for withdrawals must come to the THS 2024 in writing, by email to abstract@ths.or.tz

Abstract REVIEW
PROCESS

An international panel of experts will review the abstracts. Each abstract will be reviewed by at least three different reviewers.

Abstracts may be selected for

    • Oral presentation
    • Poster presentation
    • Rejection

The first / presenting author will receive a confirmation of acceptance for oral presentation, poster presentation, or rejection, by e-mail before 1st September, 2024. 

Authors of abstracts selected for an oral presentation will be informed about the type and date of the session and presentation guidelines will be provided.

Poster presenters will be informed about the date of the poster session and will receive guidelines for their presentation.

The titles of all accepted abstracts will be published in the abstract book.
